Exeter Wheelers CC is a road based cycling club with approximately 90 members.
We are affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials, Audax UK, STS and the South West Cyclo-cross league.
Every Sunday at 9.30am there is a club ride which starts at the Odeon cinema in Sidwell Street, Exeter. The ride is as varied as possible each week but usually covers around 50 miles at good training pace. There are possibilities to split into different speed/distance groups depending on what people want to do. The routes are undulating (this is Devon!) but not generally going over to much of the really steep stuff. From mid-October to the end of the year we include a cafe stop.
If faster paced training with racing in mind is of interest to you then each Tuesday and Thursday evening at 6.30pm there is a faster 'chain-gang' type ride of around 20 miles which starts from the lay-by just before the BP garage south of the Matford roundabout (intersection of Bridge Road and Sannerville Way) on the Dawlish road. We ride down to Dawlish and back on a flatish route.
