Comments:The Welwyn Wheelers Cycling Club is one of the premier cycling clubs in the South East and was formed in 1947 to further the activities of cycling and cycle racing. We meet at Gosling Sports Park (GSP) on the following dates:
Winter - (October to December)
Tuesday Gym Training at Gosling Sports Park (GSP) 8.00 - 9.00pm
Thursday Cyclo-Cross/MTB Training at GSP 7.30 - 9.00pm
Saturday (alternate weeks) Cyclo-cross/MTB session at GSP 9.30 - 11.30am
Sunday Club Run meet at GSP 9.30am (on road ride)
Spring - (January to March)
Tuesday Gym Training at GSP 8.00 - 9.00pm
Thursday Road Bikes on the Track at GSP 8.00 - 9.00pm
Saturday (alternate weeks) Cyclo-cross/MTB session at GSP 9.30 - 11.30am
Sunday Club Run meet at GSP 9.30am (on road ride)
Summer - (late April to September)
Monday Track Training at GSP 7.00 - 9.00pm
Tuesday Club 10 Mile Time Trial 7.15pm start/finish area at Cole Green (first event in early May)
Friday Track League - racing at GSP 7.15 - 9.30pm
Saturday (alternate weeks) Track session at GSP 9.30 - 11.30am
Some of the above sessions are primarily for club members. The Monday Track Training, Road Bikes on the Track and Track League are fully open. Some of the other sessions are open to unattached riders, ideally riders should check before attending. A small fee is payable for all of the above activities apart from club runs, this covers the costs to us of hiring facilities from GSP, paying levies etc.
