And who says that a brake designed for the most demanding conditions in the world can't also be precise and respond to the finest touch? Enter the all-new Avid Code freeride brake. The Code lever is built to take anything, with our special two-piece blade and cam breakaway, ultra-stout body and fully ambidextrous design. On the other end, Code sports a cold-forged calliper with four pistons, extra-large pads, beefy centre-mounted stainless banjo and uses (of course) our new 185 or 203mm G2 rotor. Gravity is no match for these bad boys. But the beautiful part about Code is that they aren't just strong, they are full of finesse. The zero-slop, three cartridge bearing pivots make the lever's action silky smooth and efficient. As you're pulling the lever, you'll appreciate Code's Pad Contact-Point Adjustment and don't forget that every Avid brake has our patented Caliper Positioning System? for piece of cake, perfect calliper alignment.
