Description: What TheCyclePeople say: The 2009 Scott Voltage YZ 0 features all new geometry, and a whole lot more. The frame is an exceptionally stiff 6061 alloy frame assembled from hydroformed tubes, for strength and rigidity in all the right places.
An equally strong Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3 hangs off the front, spinning on a Ritchey LB Plus headset. Shifting is accomplished through Shimano Acera shifters and a Deore rear/Acera front derailleur. The TruVativ Hussefelt crankset with 24/36 chainrings and PC Rockguard provide 16 gears to choose from. TruVativ also supplied the Hussefelt stem. Brakes and levers are Shimano hydraulic disc, with 160mm rotors at both ends.
The front hub is a Formula, while the rear unit is from Shimano. Both are laced with Sapim spokes to Alex SX-44 rims. While the D-Wall rims are plenty strong, they're also sexy in white. Wrapping them up are some Schwalbe Table Top Sport rubber, which is Timo Pritzel's own signature brand. The handlebars, seatpost, and seat are Scott's house brand, and the flat pedals are from Wellgo.
In reviewing the spec on many of Scott bikes, it seems like there's no skimping where it counts. The few items that are not top of the range are the ones most users replace anyway.
Available in a green/white color scheme, and either XS or M sizes, the YZ 0 is a well-equipped park/dirt jump bike at an entry level price.
What Scott say: The feedback from Pro-Riders Timo Pritzel and Lance McDermott has been the major driver for this totally new developed geometry of the three new Voltage top models.
The ultra-short chain stay (385mm) and the bridgeless seat-stay offer a perfect reaction and fast handling. The selection of premium components guarantees high safety, stability and a long life
