Detailed Specifications for Scott Gambler DH 20

Description: What TheCyclePeople.com say: Want a capable downhill bike, but on a budget? Check out the Gambler DH 20. The massive hydroformed frame offers 190-230mm of adjustable travel, thanks in part to the Fox Vanilla shock. Up front is a Marzocchi 888 RV fork with 200mm of travel. Shift action provided by SRAM X5 pulling a SRAM X7 medium cage derailleur. The Avid Code 5 levers are mated to matching 4 piston Avid Code 5 brakes with 203mm rotors. A Truvative Hussefelt crankset/36T chainring is paired with a SRAM chain and cassette. Front hub is a Scott Pro with 20mm thru axle, while the rear is a Sun Ringle Demon sporting a 12mm thru axle. DT Swiss spokes attach them to Alex FR hoops wrapped in Maxxis Minion rubber. Other bits include Shimano M545 pedals, VP headset, Scott bar/Marzocchi stem, and a Scott Gambler DH saddle. With adjustable steering angles and rear travel, research indicates that this bike flat out kicks ass in all sorts of conditions. While more affordable than the DH 10, it's hardly entry-level. What Scott say: The Gambler goes in it second season as the super stiff Downhill and Freeride bike. It offers multiple adjustment possibilities and is the perfect tool for bike-parks and fast downhill courses. There are four models available, the DH 10/20 and the FR 10/20, which each have two frame sizes, short and long available. Additionally there is adjustable steering angles and adjustable rear travel, as well as an exchangeable drop-out which makes the Gambler the ultimate adjustable bike.
