Description: What TheCyclePeople say: The 2009 Scott Contessa Scale RC is race-ready XC bike designed specifically for women. It starts with a carbon frame and RockShox 100mm Reba fork. The shifters are Shimano XT 9 speed units, providing a total of 27 gears. They're mated to an XT front and XTR rear derailleur. The brakes and levers are Shimano XT disc, with a 180mm rotor up front, and 160mm out back. The stiff and light crankset is Shimano's XT Hollowtech II. Rims are DT Swiss XR1 disc, laced with DT Swiss spokes to DT Swiss XR1 hubs, front and rear. The handlebars, stem, and seatpost are Scott's house brand, while the saddle is a Fizik Vitesse Sport HP and the pedals are Shimano clipless.
