It?s almost as though someone put together a wish list for the ideal utility bike, and Kona worked off that. The use of 7005 tubing keeps the weight down on this extended wheelbase frame, while still providing a sturdy base for the wooden platform rack. Attached to that rack is a very long pannier for carrying plenty of cargo, even oversized goods. To deal with the extra weight of the bike, rider, and cargo, there?s a Hayes disc brake up front. And while the rack works double-duty as a mudguard, the front wheel gets a proper one as well. Kona thoughtfully provides a center mount kickstand as well. Available in 18? or 20? models only. Think of it as a two-wheeled SUV. Only better.
