The 2009 Kona Hoss is designed for the Clydesdale riders, those of us over 200lb/91kg. Every part is chosen with durability in mind. Kona Clump tubing is a 7005 series alloy, used where strength is more important than weight savings. The 20mm front axle of the Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 2 fork stands up to all sorts of abuse, and unlike a 9mm quick release, won?t twist under the extra stopping power of the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. And what better wheelset for an all black bike than Sun Black Eye hoops? The spec inspires confidence not available in lesser bikes.
