Description: What TheCyclePeople say: Moving up in Kona?s hardtail range, we find the Caldera. For riders looking to push a little farther into the backcountry, to ride a little longer, to ask a little more of their bike, this is one to look at.
The Caldera, while still reasonably priced, comes with a 100mm Rock Shox Tora fork. The standard used to be 80mm, but with nearly an extra inch of travel, this is certainly a worthwhile upgrade. The wider range of the Shimano Deore 9 speed drivetrain, with XT rear derailleur, won?t go unappreciated either. Also, stopping is greatly improved with Shimano hydraulic discs at both ends. Sun rims and Maxxis rubber round out the build.
Available in sizes 14", 16", 17", 18", 19", 20", and 22", the Caldera again demonstrates Kona?s ability to offer exceptional value.
