Now get your mind out of the gutter and back on the trail. The Big Unit is a 29? single speed that manages to be loaded with goodies and stripped down at the same time. What, you might ask, could justify the price tag of this bike with but one gear? Well, the Scandium frame is twice as strong as 6000 or 7000 series alloys, and boasts a Fox fork and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. That?s all. It?s unencumbered by shifters or derailleurs. Nice and light. The remainder of the spec is just as sweet, including Maxxis 29x2.1? rubber wrapped around some Mavic hoops. Available in sizes 16", 18", 19", 20", and 22", the Big Unit proves that sometimes, less is more.
